Gaspar Noé delivers another masterpiece! Love the feminist lens the story is told through which gives notes of Sylvia Federici’s Caliban And The Witch, describing vividly how the patriarchy we have today (shown through prick producers) is a result of man’s domination over women through their demonization and exploitation during the femicide/witch trials. Also love the artistic yearning to do better by humanity.
If you want a headache good film to watch. Pointless annoyance, arguing and the last ten minutes inane migraine material. Artsy done terrible.
be sure to clearly set your intention before starting
2.5 is the right score for me here. My head and eyes hurt after this. The story had some potential, but it got completely scrapped for the crazy finale. Very French. Very artsy. It needed about 10 minutes more I think for story purposes.
Artsy fartsy French stuff, not for me. Content warning: this seems specifically designed to trigger epileptic seizures.
